December 2005 Archives
I'm winding up the year right now, trying to put a finger on all that happened in 2005. It was a fairly busy and momentous year. Not New-baby momentous, but still. So here is the start of my recap of 2005.
- New Job - I ended my contract @Disney, and moved to the Dr. Phil Show this past summer. Came in in the middle of a new software install, which, is always interesting. And very busy.
- Lost 20 lbs. - It's wasn't the 50 I had been hoping for, but it's a start.
- Formed a production company - b/c of the iPod which happens to play Video, I decided to form a production company, /vid/Hack/, to create content specifically targeted at this new medium. Right now we have 4 shows in pre-production and my short are already on the iTunes podcast directory. Dave starts production 2nd weekend of January, and my as-of-right-now-not-disclosed project is on schedule for the beginning of February. The Reel Horror podcast should start recording the first week of January.
- Entertained - Movie night continued all year. We even are having a end of the year movie night on the 29th.
- Didn't take on more than I could handle - most of the time, at least.
- Rachel's graduation - she did, and we were there.
On the road:
We are in Lutz right now, and we leave for Boca in the morning. Housing future balances on a mortgage, and Z doesn't want to sleep on the trip.
That was the short, short version. I really do need to start expanding these entries.
In the show airing January 3, 2006 my work is featured in the plug for the web site. I'm going to see if I can get a grab of the clip for the site, but we'll see. It's the flash quiz that I created for the site from the new book, Love Smart. Here's a link to the quiz on the site.
TULSA, Okla. - A Plymouth Belvedere that was buried in a concrete vault nearly 50 years ago as part of the state's golden anniversary celebration will be unearthed in 2007 as part of the Oklahoma centennial festivities.
A large object has been found beyond Pluto travelling in an orbit tilted by 47 degrees to most other bodies in the solar system. Astronomers are at a loss to explain why the object's orbit is so off-kilter while being almost circular.
Have I mentioned yet how much I love my fifth gen iPod. Well, I do. It totally rocks. I should probably write up a review of it at some point.
