We started the 6 Day Body Makeover on Sunday, and, honestly, I was very frustrated with it. Both Erisa and I wanted to quit last night, but then this morning I weighed myself. I have lost 5 lbs. 5 POUNDS!!!!! This is some of the best health news I’ve had in a long time. I’m much more enthusiastic about the diet now, that’s to be sure.
This past week it has been very hard to write b/c we are going through major crunch time at work. I’m catching up on past entries today, and inserting them with their appropriate dates.
Been at work all day. Launching new code is always time consuming, and no matter what you do there are always bugs. I know I’m going to spend the next two weeks bug wrangling. Joy.
We finally got around to celebrating our anniversary today. For the first time ever, I went horse back ridding. We got to the rental place in Griffith Park around 8:30, and we were the first ones there. Standing watching them get the horses washed and ready for the day, I realized I never knew that horses were really that big. These animals could crush you if you look at them wrong, which led me to the conclusion that you don’t tell a horse where you to go, you suggest a course, and if the horse is so inclined you get to go where you want. The ride was absolutely amazing. We galloped, we rode across a river (on a bridge, but it was a very small bridge), and it was some of the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Seeing parts of Griffith Park that normally you would never see – including the coolest ravine – made the whole trip great.
