First day in the mouse house

| | Comments (0)

There it went. First day with jitters new computers and more code than I can shake a stick at. What in the world does that expression mean anyway?

There should be a lot more I think, but it was really uneventful for first days.

I get my badge tomorrow (I'll take a pic)

Musings and the such

It's really incredible the difference a few weeks can make. This time last week - we had the new baby, but money was looking kinda grim. Now, exactly one week later, I'm employed. At a major corporation. That happens to be the Walt Disney Company. The same Disney that my dad worked for. Seriously, that's a good week.

More than anything else really, getting a job that I can now support my new family (really, your just a couple until you have kids [and not pets don't count]) makes me feel elation that I haven't felt, well exactly three weeks. (PS - Zane was born three weeks, and 56 min before I wrote this). It feels like a great veil has lifted off of us, and we can now get on with living our lives, and not worrying about how we are going to go about living them. I get my paperwork tomorrow, well today (just looked at the time), AM, and I'm a wee bit excited. It's just going to be nice to breath I think.

I'm beginning to have things to write about I think. You can go through all the theory in the world on technique, structure, spelling (still working on that one), etc., but until you have a story to tell. And I think I may have one yet.

Baby is home!!!

We returned home yesterday from the hospital. Little Zane is getting accustomed to his new home, and he slept well through the night. We're working on feeding him, and I think we both are exhausted.

More updates as they happen....
