January 2004 Archives
Just got done watching Cold Mountain. Very much directed by the same director as English Patient. Very, very good. Erisa has a theory that director's have a bet going on how naked they can make Nicole Kidman in a movie, and still make it a main stream film. Ah, Hollywood.
Gig front - 90% sure that I am starting work with a NY casting company's website. That brings my client base up to LA, NY, and South Florida. I have to watch it or I may turn into a true professional :)
Finally, Mac news. MacWorld Keynote today & oh how I am excited about the new iLife App, GarageBand. You must check it out here. I'm going to plug the iMac in to the electric piano, and Erisa will be able to record accompaniment for her singing, and move it directly into iTunes. They are also releasing a $99 keyboard to go with the software that's more portable, but hey, I'll win the lottery some day, right? :) Have I mentioned I love my Mac today.
We're back.
After our whirlwind tour of the other Sunshine State, Erisa and I are settled back into our routine. Much good news came out of 2003 and here are some of my highlights for last year:
1) We're having a baby. From the test results we received today, there is nothing wrong with the baby at this stage. Yeah!
2) Ghent.Net is picking up in business. I joined BNI this time last year, and it has been a huge boost.
3) I may be involved with a pilot. Now that sounds so defineate that I will explain for those who know not of which I speak. I am working with a production company on a website for a TV show, and part of the compensation is a role. That's really all I can say right now, but it's been a great experience so far, and I'm really excited about getting back into it.
4) Erisa had a solo in the Burbank Choral holiday concert. See the video here.
5) We were able to spend the holidays with both of our families.
That about wraps it up for me for now. I'm starting several new projects this week, and trying to baby proof the house.
